| Odyssey
Like Homer's epic poem, our Odyssey is structured in medias res - the action begins in the middle of the plot. Prior events are described through flashbacks, or in its prequels - The Kids and The Calling.
The novel begins on New Year's Day 2024 and, after parading through much of Victor's remarkable life, it ends with his "passing."
After some deliberation, we decided to use Herbert James Draper's "Odysseus and The Sirens" as the illustration on the cover instead of our own photo that we have titled "Alien's Path," the view from the Bou's ancestral home in Old San Juan, described by Unde in the first chapter.
Rea Reina, a powerful seductress, uses hypnosis to persuade her followers and as a weapon to fight her enemies. She uses all her charms to keep Unde from his resolve: to rescue his cousin Bobby, captured by her followers on the eve of her termination.
