| Log
The log, or bitácora in Spanish, is the
pedestal to which a ship's steering wheel is attached. It houses a compass. Our wheelhouse also has a place where a logbook or Diario de Navegación is placed for the recording of events along the trip. The History of Humanity is the then part of it; places visited.
The goal of this website and Log is to render our perspective, our worldview. Cynics might call it conservative propaganda.
A theme may be avoided when a message is not presented in a familiar context. Thus, the tendency to stay in the well-known paths may negate new perspectives, knowledge, or curiosity. Good examples are politics, spirituality, science, or some arcane philosophical subject that may stir anxiety or other negative emotion.
One's cultural background, personal life and bias of the parties are of consequence. Face-to-face, rapport is contingent on the knowledge, experience, skills, empathy, and sense of comfort of the parties. Similar resources may be wanting in the written message, since a writer cannot adjust the message to conform to instant feedback, so options to reduce risk are limited. Bear with us and with our limitations.
On the other hand, we know that when a listener is ready, a meaningful message turns up. Said in other words, the collective subconscious assures that the right people communicate the right subject at the precise time.
We are often asked about the extent of our personal experiences in our writing. The answer is, in a word, plenty; but the works do not portray history, but the way we want to see it -- our history.
